Chef de Partie – Common Grounds, Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi
Common Grounds, the specialty coffee and healthy-eats brand from the EATX family, is opening its first Abu Dhabi location at Yas Mall, and we’re looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our founding kitchen team. Known across Dubai for its fresh salad bowls, wraps, all-day breakfast, and freshly ground coffee, Common Grounds is built on quality ingredients and consistent, thoughtful execution. As Chef de Partie, you’ll run your own section of the kitchen, ensuring every dish leaving your station meets our recipe and presentation standards while keeping pace with a busy mall location. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on culinary professional who wants to help shape a new opening from day one and grow with an expanding regional brand.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Run an assigned section of the kitchen, preparing and plating dishes to Common Grounds’ recipe and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure smooth, timely service during peak periods.
- Monitor portion control, food costs, and wastage within your section.
- Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
- Train and guide Demi Chefs and Commis Chefs working within your section.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a cafe, restaurant, or hotel kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, plating, and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent professional training preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid UAE food safety/hygiene certification is an advantage.
