Duties & Responsibilities
Pastry & Baker
- Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes and other bakery items fresh each day to company recipes and quality standards.
- Keep the bakery display stocked, attractive and correctly labelled throughout opening hours.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and storage rules, including cleaning equipment and work areas.
- Monitor ingredient and product levels and report shortages to the supervisor on time.
- Work with the kitchen, café and store team to meet daily production targets.
Merchandiser
- Receive stock and arrange products on shelves, displays and promotional areas according to store layout.
- Rotate stock, checking expiry dates and removing damaged or expired items.
- Keep price tags, shelf labels and promotional signage accurate and visible.
- Refill shelves regularly so aisles stay full, tidy and easy for customers to shop.
- Help customers find products and report stock gaps or display issues to management.
Waitress
- Welcome guests to the Wheatfields café area and take food and beverage orders accurately.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and check that guests are happy with their order.
- Keep tables, service stations and the dining area clean and well presented.
- Answer questions about the menu and recommend items with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Process bills and payments, and coordinate with the kitchen to keep service smooth at busy times.
Cashier
- Scan items, process cash, card and other payments quickly and accurately at the checkout.
- Greet customers politely and handle questions, returns and complaints with patience.
- Bag or pack purchases carefully and keep the checkout area clean and organised.
- Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift and report any differences.
- Follow store policies on pricing, promotions and cash handling.
