Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting and portioning ingredients.
• Support the section chefs during service by preparing and plating simple dishes.
• Follow recipes, portion guides and presentation standards set by the kitchen team.
• Receive, store and label products correctly and report shortages to your supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic work area and follow food safety and HACCP procedures.

Requirements

• Some kitchen experience in a hotel, restaurant or catering operation is preferred; motivated freshers with culinary training may be considered
• Basic knife skills and cooking techniques
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays
• Good teamwork, time management and a strong willingness to learn
• Culinary certificate or diploma is an advantage
