Demi Chef de Partie – Common Grounds, Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi

Common Grounds, the specialty coffee and healthy-eats brand from the EATX family, is opening its first Abu Dhabi location at Yas Mall, and we’re looking for a Demi Chef de Partie to join our founding kitchen team. Known across Dubai for its fresh salad bowls, wraps, all-day breakfast, and freshly ground coffee, Common Grounds is built on consistent quality and a genuine passion for good food. As Demi Chef de Partie, you’ll support the running of a kitchen section, preparing dishes to standard and helping keep service smooth during busy periods. This role suits a developing chef who wants hands-on experience, mentorship from senior chefs, and the chance to grow within a fast-expanding regional brand from its very first Abu Dhabi opening.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Chef de Partie in the daily running of a kitchen section.
• Prepare ingredients and dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Assist with stock rotation, storage, and minimizing food wastage.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the section throughout service.
• Step in to cover section duties during the Chef de Partie’s absence.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Demi Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, or similar kitchen role.
• Solid understanding of basic culinary techniques and food safety practices.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
