Barista – Common Grounds, Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi

Common Grounds, the specialty coffee and healthy-eats brand from the EATX family, is opening its first Abu Dhabi location at Yas Mall, and we’re looking for passionate Baristas to join our founding team. Known across Dubai for its freshly ground coffee and warm, community-driven cafes, Common Grounds is all about quality, consistency, and genuine connection with every guest. As a Barista, you’ll craft specialty coffee and beverages to our standards, keep the coffee bar running smoothly, and be a friendly, knowledgeable face for guests visiting our new Yas Mall location. If you love specialty coffee and take pride in every cup you pour, this is a great opportunity to help shape a brand-new opening and grow with an expanding regional brand.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee and beverages to Common Grounds’ quality and presentation standards.
• Operate, clean, and maintain espresso machines and coffee equipment.
• Deliver warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to every guest.
• Manage the coffee bar’s stock, including milk, beans, and syrups.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at the coffee station at all times.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience in a specialty coffee shop or cafe preferred.
• Solid understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art is a plus.
• Friendly, guest-focused personality with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
