Runner — Al Ain
PDL Coffee Co is hiring reliable, energetic Runners to support front-of-house and back-of-house operations at our Al Ain café. This role keeps service flowing by assisting servers, baristas, and kitchen staff to ensure fast, accurate, and seamless guest experiences.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Order Delivery — Deliver food and beverages from the bar and kitchen to tables quickly and accurately.
  • Clearing and Resetting — Clear plates, glassware, and cutlery; reset tables promptly for the next guests.
  • Support Service Flow — Assist waitstaff and baristas during peak periods with bussing, refills, and simple guest requests.
  • Stock and Replenishment — Refill service stations, condiments, napkins, and water stations; restock front-of-house supplies.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance — Keep dining areas, service stations, and back-of-house tidy; follow cleaning checklists and hygiene standards.
  • Communication — Relay guest requests and special instructions to servers, baristas, and kitchen staff; escalate issues to the supervisor.
  • Basic Food Handling — Transport items safely and follow food-safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • Experience — Previous runner, food service, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
  • Skills — Fast, attentive, physically fit, and able to carry trays and stand for long periods.
  • Attitude — Team-oriented, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability — Flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
  • Language — Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Legal — Right to work in the UAE and ability to commute to Al Ain.
  • Qualifications — Basic food-safety or hygiene training is a plus.
