Duties and Responsibilities
Sous Chef
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, preparation and service across all sections.
- Support the head of the kitchen with menu execution, recipes and plating standards.
- Train, schedule and guide Chefs de Partie, Commis and kitchen stewards.
- Monitor stock levels, ordering, waste control and food cost in line with company targets.
- Enforce food safety, hygiene and Dubai Municipality standards at all times.
Chef de Partie
- Run your assigned section and deliver dishes to Rosti’s quality and presentation standards.
- Prepare mise en place and set up the station before each service.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes and plating guides to keep every plate consistent.
- Guide and train Commis chefs working in your section.
- Maintain cleanliness, labelling, storage and food safety standards.
Commis
- Assist Chefs de Partie with daily preparation and basic cooking tasks.
- Wash, chop, portion and store ingredients according to recipe and hygiene standards.
- Set up and break down your station before and after each service.
- Follow instructions from senior chefs and learn new techniques and recipes.
- Keep your work area, tools and equipment clean, organised and safe.
Dish Washer
- Wash, rinse and sanitise dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots and pans throughout service.
- Operate the dishwashing machine and chemicals safely and correctly.
- Keep the stewarding area, kitchen floors and waste areas clean and organised.
- Return clean items to the correct stations promptly.
- Follow hygiene, safety and waste-handling procedures at all times.
Head Barista
- Lead the coffee bar and ensure every drink meets Rosti’s quality and presentation standards.
- Train, coach and schedule the barista team on extraction, milk texturing and service.
- Calibrate and maintain espresso machines, grinders and brewing equipment.
- Manage coffee, milk and bar stock, ordering and waste control.
- Create a warm guest experience and handle guest feedback with professionalism.
Barista
- Prepare espresso-based drinks, filter coffee, teas and other beverages to Rosti’s recipes.
- Greet guests warmly, take orders and recommend drinks and baked goods.
- Keep the bar, equipment and surrounding area clean, stocked and organised.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and cash-handling procedures.
- Support the Head Barista and floor team during busy service periods.
Supervisor
- Lead the front-of-house team during shifts and ensure service standards are met.
- Brief the team, assign stations and support colleagues during peak times.
- Handle guest requests, feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Oversee opening and closing duties, cash handling and daily reports.
- Help train new team members and support stock and inventory checks.
Waiter
- Welcome guests, present menus and recommend dishes, drinks and baked goods.
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages promptly and politely.
- Set up, maintain and reset tables and your service section.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and coffee bar to keep service smooth.
- Process payments where required and follow hygiene and safety standards.
Requirements
Sous Chef
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a café, restaurant or hotel.
- Strong knowledge of breakfast, bakery and all-day dining menus.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a kitchen team.
- Valid food safety certification (HACCP or equivalent).
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Located in the UAE with the right to work is an advantage.
Chef de Partie
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie in a similar kitchen.
- Good knowledge of breakfast, bakery and all-day dishes.
- Ability to work calmly and quickly in a busy service.
- Understanding of HACCP and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
Commis
- Previous kitchen experience in a café, restaurant or hotel is preferred; motivated beginners with culinary training may be considered.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior chefs.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
Dish Washer
- Previous experience as a Dish Washer or Kitchen Steward is preferred but not essential.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for long shifts.
- Awareness of hygiene and cleaning standards.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
Head Barista
- Proven experience as a Head Barista or Senior Barista in a specialty coffee environment.
- Strong knowledge of espresso, milk-based drinks, filter and alternative brewing methods.
- Leadership and training skills.
- Latte art skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
Barista
- Previous experience as a Barista in a café or specialty coffee shop is preferred.
- Knowledge of espresso machines, grinders and milk steaming; latte art is a plus.
- Friendly, guest-focused personality with good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
Supervisor
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Waiter in a café or restaurant.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic reporting.
- Excellent guest service attitude and a calm approach under pressure.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
Waiter
- Previous experience as a Waiter or Waitress in a café or restaurant is preferred.
- Friendly, polite and guest-focused attitude.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic or other languages are an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
