General Technician – Holiday Inn Dubai Al Maktoum | Hotel Maintenance Jobs in Dubai
Holiday Inn Dubai Al Maktoum, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is hiring a General Technician to join its Engineering team in Dubai. In this hands-on role, you’ll carry out routine maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, responding promptly to maintenance requests and keeping equipment and systems running smoothly. This position suits a multi-skilled technician who is comfortable working independently across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tasks in a live, guest-focused environment. You’ll be part of a well-organized Engineering department that values safety, reliability, and quick problem-solving. Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across guest rooms and public areas
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns
- Perform preventive maintenance checks on equipment and systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work completed
- Ensure safety procedures are followed during all repair work
Requirements
- Technical diploma or trade certification in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing fields
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience, hotel experience preferred
- Working knowledge of basic HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to urgent issues
- Willingness to work on a rotational shift basis
