Sous Chef – Noren Restaurant Dubai (Pre‑Opening)

Noren Restaurant is preparing to launch in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, bringing a modern dining experience built on craftsmanship, precision, and heartfelt hospitality. As we assemble our opening team, we are looking for a talented Sous Chef who can support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen, maintaining exceptional standards, and helping shape the culinary identity of Noren from day one.

This role is ideal for a driven, detail‑oriented chef who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is ready to take ownership of kitchen operations during a crucial pre‑opening phase.


🔥 Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations.
  • Lead the team during service, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Assist in menu development, recipe testing, and dish refinement.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise junior chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
  • Maintain high levels of organization, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
  • Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

✅ Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Senior CDP or Sous Chef in a premium or modern dining restaurant.
  • Strong culinary foundation with excellent technical skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a kitchen team.
  • Experience in pre‑opening environments is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of food costing, portion control, and kitchen systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and composure.
  • Passion for innovation, consistency, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
