Pera Palace is seeking a hardworking and motivated Commi to join our culinary team in Dubai. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about kitchen operations, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining high standards of food preparation and hygiene. As a Commi, you will support senior chefs in daily tasks, assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure smooth workflow in the kitchen. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a professional culinary environment and develop your skills under experienced leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs in basic food preparation and mise en place
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • Follow hygiene, safety, and food‑handling standards at all times
  • Support cooking, plating, and portioning tasks as instructed
  • Store ingredients properly and monitor freshness
  • Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
