Al Ghurair Mobility — Cars Services is hiring a reliable, customer‑focused Cashier for our Dubai showroom. The role ensures accurate cash and POS transactions, excellent front‑of‑house service, and strict adherence to cash control procedures to support smooth retail operations.

Role details

  • Location: Dubai, UAE
  • Employment type: Full time
  • Reporting to: Manager — Retail Showroom
  • Primary objective: Accurately process payments, maintain till integrity, and deliver friendly, efficient customer service at the point of sale.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate the POS system to process cash, card, and digital payments accurately.
  • Issue receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations; handle refunds and exchanges per company policy.
  • Perform daily cash counts, reconcile tills at shift end, and prepare cash deposit reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, vouchers, and petty cash usage.
  • Ensure cash handling and security procedures are followed at all times.
  • Greet customers professionally and assist with basic enquiries or route them to sales staff.
  • Coordinate with sales and service teams to ensure smooth handovers and accurate invoicing.
  • Report discrepancies, suspicious activity, or system issues immediately to management.
  • Keep the cashier area clean, organized, and compliant with brand standards.
  • Support showroom promotions and peak‑period operations, including weekend shifts.

Requirements

Experience and qualifications

  • 1–3 years experience in cashiering, retail cash handling, or front‑of‑house roles.
  • Proven accuracy in cash handling and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic accounting or cash control procedures.
  • High school diploma required; diploma or degree in Business or related field is an advantage.
  • Valid UAE work authorization; UAE driving license is an advantage.

Skills and competencies

  • Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and integrity.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced retail environment and handling peak‑time pressure.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn internal systems quickly.
