Job Summary

Zapata Je Mexican Restaurant is seeking dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Stewards to join our pre-opening team ahead of our grand launch at J1 Beach, Dubai in July 2025. This role is essential in maintaining kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and operational efficiency, ensuring that chefs and kitchen staff can work in a well-organized space to create authentic Mexican cuisine. If you have pre-opening experience and take pride in supporting a dynamic culinary environment, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of Dubai’s newest beachfront dining destination.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in pre-opening kitchen setup, including station organization and sanitation preparations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils, ensuring strict hygiene standards.
  • Handle dishwashing and assist in the proper storage and arrangement of kitchen tools.
  • Support kitchen staff by ensuring ingredients and cooking materials are readily available.
  • Dispose of waste responsibly, following health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, maintaining organized inventory systems.
  • Uphold compliance with food safety regulations, cleaning protocols, and sanitation procedures.
  • Work closely with chefs to support smooth kitchen operations and meal preparations.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Kitchen Steward or in a similar role in a restaurant or hotel.
  • Pre-opening experience in setting up kitchen operations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced culinary environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, supporting kitchen staff effectively.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order.
