Zapata Je Mexican Restaurant is seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our culinary team. If you have a passion for authentic Mexican flavors, innovative menu creation, and exceptional kitchen leadership, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Design and refine traditional and contemporary Mexican dishes that reflect our restaurant’s vision.
  • Manage kitchen staff, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and kitchen efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory, food cost management, and supplier coordination.
  • Collaborate with management on seasonal menu planning and specials.
  • Ensure consistency and excellence in every plate served.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in a high-quality Mexican kitchen.
  • Expertise in traditional and modern Mexican culinary techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and train a kitchen team.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, food cost management, and kitchen budgeting.
  • Familiarity with HACCP and international food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Creativity and innovation in menu development.
