Zapata Je Mexican Restaurant is seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our culinary team. If you have a passion for authentic Mexican flavors, innovative menu creation, and exceptional kitchen leadership, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Design and refine traditional and contemporary Mexican dishes that reflect our restaurant’s vision.
- Manage kitchen staff, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and kitchen efficiency.
- Monitor inventory, food cost management, and supplier coordination.
- Collaborate with management on seasonal menu planning and specials.
- Ensure consistency and excellence in every plate served.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef in a high-quality Mexican kitchen.
- Expertise in traditional and modern Mexican culinary techniques.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and train a kitchen team.
- Knowledge of inventory control, food cost management, and kitchen budgeting.
- Familiarity with HACCP and international food safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high culinary standards.
- Creativity and innovation in menu development.
