Jamie’s Italian is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team across our UAE locations. This role is ideal for an experienced kitchen professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, leads with confidence, and is passionate about delivering high‑quality dishes inspired by Jamie Oliver’s globally loved Italian cuisine. As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, and driving culinary excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
• Lead and supervise the BOH team to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
• Support menu execution, recipe adherence, and portion control
• Manage mise en place, food preparation, and service coordination
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food‑safety standards
• Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock rotation
• Handle kitchen challenges calmly and professionally during peak hours
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and efficient kitchen environment

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or senior CDP in a high‑volume or casual dining restaurant
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency
• Strong understanding of food‑safety and HACCP standards
• Professional attitude, teamwork mindset, and passion for culinary excellence
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Immediate joiners preferred
