Senior Visual Commercial — Job Posting Summary

We are hiring a creative and strategic Senior Visual Commercial to lead visual merchandising and in‑store commercial presentation across our UAE stores. This role combines creative direction with commercial insight: you will design seasonal concepts, translate marketing campaigns into compelling store experiences, and ensure visual standards drive product sell‑through and brand perception. You’ll mentor the Visual Commercial team, collaborate with buying and marketing, and deliver measurable retail results through outstanding visual execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Visual Strategy & Creative Direction: Develop and own seasonal visual merchandising strategies and store concepts that align with brand positioning and commercial objectives.
  • Campaign Execution: Translate marketing and product launches into in‑store activations, window displays, and floor plans; ensure timely roll‑out across stores.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and schedule the Visual Commercial team; set clear creative standards and provide hands‑on coaching during installations.
  • Commercial Focus: Use sales data and KPI analysis to optimize product placement, adjacencies, and promotional displays to maximize conversion and average transaction value.
  • Standards & Quality Control: Maintain consistent visual standards across all stores; conduct regular store audits and provide corrective action plans.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Buying, Marketing, Store Operations, and E‑commerce teams to align visual plans with assortment, promotions, and omnichannel initiatives.
  • Project Management: Plan and manage visual projects end‑to‑end—budgets, timelines, materials, and third‑party vendors—ensuring on‑time, on‑brand delivery.
  • Innovation & Trends: Research retail and design trends; propose new visual techniques, fixtures, and technologies to enhance the customer experience.
  • Training & Documentation: Create visual guidelines, installation manuals, and training materials; run workshops to upskill store teams on visual standards.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 4+ years in visual merchandising or retail design, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role; experience across multi‑store operations preferred.
  • Portfolio: Strong portfolio demonstrating creative concepts, store roll‑outs, and measurable commercial impact.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to link visual strategy to sales performance; comfortable interpreting sales reports and KPIs.
  • Skills: Excellent creative direction, spatial planning, and fixture design skills; strong project management and vendor coordination experience.
  • Technical: Proficiency with visual planning tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or similar); basic MS Office competency.
  • Leadership: Strong coaching and communication skills; ability to inspire teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Physical: Able to lead and participate in physical installations; comfortable with heights and manual handling when required.
  • Language: Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Availability: Flexible to travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai and to work retail hours during roll‑outs and peak seasons.
  • Education: Degree or diploma in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Retail Design, or related field preferred.

  • Execution Quality: Percentage of stores meeting visual standards on audit.
  • Project Delivery: On‑time and on‑budget completion of visual roll‑outs.

  • Customer Feedback: Positive shifts in in‑store experience metrics and mystery shopper scores.
