As the opening note of the Cipriani experience, the Hostess sets the tone for everything that follows, welcoming guests with the same genuine warmth that has defined the brand since Harry’s Bar opened in Venice in 1931. This role suits someone naturally sociable, highly organized, and calm under pressure, with a talent for making every guest feel expected and cared for from the moment they arrive. You’ll work closely with the service team to manage seating, reservations, and the overall flow of the dining room. Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations, seating, and table flow
- Serve as the first point of contact, setting the tone for the guest experience
- Coordinate closely with the service team to balance sections and manage waitlists
- Handle phone and email inquiries regarding bookings with professionalism
- Maintain the reception area’s presentation and ensure a polished first impression
Requirements
- Previous hostess or guest-relations experience, ideally in fine dining or luxury hospitality
- Warm, confident, and well-presented with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and comfort using reservation systems
- Fluent English; additional languages are a plus
- Ability to remain composed and welcoming during busy periods
