Duties and Responsibilities
House Manager
- Lead the daily front-of-house operation and ensure service standards are consistently met
- Supervise, coach and schedule servers, hosts, runners and baristas
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and promptly
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling and shift reports
- Maintain cleanliness, health and safety, and brand standards throughout the venue
Head Barista
- Lead the coffee bar and maintain the highest standards of drink quality and consistency
- Train and develop the barista team on brewing methods, milk texturing and service
- Manage coffee stock, equipment calibration and daily grinder and espresso dialling
- Educate guests on the coffee menu, origins and brewing styles
- Maintain bar hygiene, cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance
Barista
- Prepare espresso-based, filter and specialty coffee drinks to WatchHouse standards
- Deliver warm, attentive guest service at the coffee bar
- Keep the bar clean, stocked and organised throughout the shift
- Operate and care for the espresso machine, grinders and brewing equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Hostess
- Welcome and seat guests in a warm, professional manner
- Manage reservations, waiting lists and table allocation
- Answer calls and enquiries and communicate venue information accurately
- Coordinate with servers and managers to keep guest flow smooth
- Maintain a polished presentation of the entrance and guest areas
Server
- Greet guests, present the menu and make recommendations
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages promptly
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure an exceptional dining experience
- Process payments accurately and handle guest requests or concerns
- Keep the section clean, set and ready for service
Runner
- Deliver food and beverages quickly and accurately from the kitchen and bar to tables
- Support servers with table setup, clearing and resetting
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen and floor team
- Keep service stations clean and well stocked
- Follow hygiene and presentation standards at all times
Kitchen Supervisor
- Supervise daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth service
- Guide and support the kitchen team during prep and service
- Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, hygiene and safety requirements
- Help manage stock, ordering and waste control
Chef de Partie (CDP)
- Run an assigned section of the kitchen with consistency and care
- Prepare and present dishes according to recipes and brand standards
- Manage mise en place and keep the section clean and organised
- Train and guide commis chefs in the section
- Follow food safety, labelling and storage procedures
Commis Chef
- Assist chefs with daily food preparation and cooking
- Prepare ingredients and mise en place to the required standard
- Support service by keeping the station stocked and tidy
- Learn recipes, techniques and plating standards from senior chefs
- Follow hygiene and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
House Manager
- Previous experience as a Supervisor or Manager in a premium café or restaurant
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of service standards and guest experience
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays
Head Barista
- Proven experience as a Head Barista or Senior Barista in specialty coffee
- In-depth knowledge of espresso, filter methods and milk texturing
- Ability to lead, train and motivate a team
- Passion for quality, detail and coffee education
Barista
- Previous barista experience, ideally in a specialty coffee setting
- Good knowledge of espresso preparation and latte art
- Friendly, positive attitude with a guest-first approach
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Hostess
- Previous hosting or guest-facing experience in hospitality preferred
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in English
- Organised, calm under pressure and welcoming
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays
Server
- Previous serving experience in a café or restaurant
- Good communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage)
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Team player with a polished, attentive approach
Runner
- Experience in a similar role is preferred, but motivated beginners are welcome
- Energetic, reliable and quick on their feet
- Good teamwork and basic communication skills
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays
Kitchen Supervisor
- Proven experience in a supervisory kitchen role
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, HACCP and food safety
- Leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Good organisation and stock control skills
Chef de Partie (CDP)
- Experience as a CDP in a quality restaurant or hotel kitchen
- Strong cooking skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work well in a team and in a fast-paced kitchen
Commis Chef
- Culinary training or previous kitchen experience preferred
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene
