Commis Chef – Villa Mamas by Chef Roaya Saaleh (Saudi Arabia)

Villa Mamas by Chef Roaya Saaleh is looking for a hardworking, eager‑to‑learn, and passionate Commis Chef to join our culinary team in Saudi Arabia. This role is perfect for someone at the early stages of their culinary career who wants to grow in a supportive, heritage‑driven kitchen environment. As a Commis Chef, you will assist with food preparation, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and support senior chefs in delivering the warm, soulful, Khaleeji‑inspired dishes that define Villa Mamas. We are seeking someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to developing strong culinary skills while contributing to a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing ingredients and basic cooking tasks
  • Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • Ensure all mise en place is prepared and replenished
  • Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards
  • Uphold hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during service

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or kitchen assistant preferred
  • Basic culinary knowledge and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Culinary training or certification is an advantage
