Barbacks – Zeus restaurant and lounge JBR 18 applications

Job Description:

Zeus Restaurant and Lounge, a premier dining and entertainment destination in Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), is looking for enthusiastic and hardworking Barbacks to join our team. As a Barback, you will play a key role in supporting our bartenders and maintaining the smooth operation of the bar. You will assist with setting up the bar, restocking supplies, and ensuring that the bar area is clean, organized, and ready for service, enabling the bartenders to deliver excellent service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist bartenders in setting up and restocking the bar with necessary supplies, such as liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout the shift, ensuring all tools and equipment are ready for use.

• Ensure that ice, drinks, and other bar supplies are always stocked and available for bartenders during busy service periods.

• Help clean glassware, refill liquor bottles, and manage bar equipment to ensure smooth operations.

• Keep the bar area tidy and organized, ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed at all times.

• Remove empty glasses, bottles, and trash from the bar area promptly to maintain a clean environment.

• Support bartenders with any other tasks as needed to enhance the guest experience and smooth the flow of service.

• Assist in closing the bar at the end of each shift, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Barback or in a similar role in a restaurant, lounge, or hospitality setting is preferred.

• A strong work ethic, with the ability to stay focused and organized in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and take direction from bartenders and supervisors.

• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including kegs and boxes.

• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• A passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to learn about the bar and cocktail service.

• Fluency in English is preferred (additional languages are a plus).
