Support Driver – Embassy of Ireland, Abu Dhabi

The Embassy of Ireland in Abu Dhabi is seeking a reliable, professional, and safety‑conscious Support Driver to join its locally‑engaged team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of Embassy transport services, supporting official movements, and maintaining a high standard of service delivery. This role requires discretion, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to represent the Embassy with professionalism at all times. The Support Driver will assist with transportation duties, logistical support, and general administrative tasks as required.


🛠 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Embassy vehicles for official transport of staff, visitors, and delegations
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, well‑maintained, and serviced according to schedule
  • Monitor vehicle performance and report any mechanical issues promptly
  • Assist with logistical tasks including deliveries, collections, and document transfers
  • Support Embassy events, meetings, and official engagements through transport coordination
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and trip logs
  • Adhere to all UAE traffic laws and Embassy security protocols
  • Provide general administrative or operational support when required

🎯 Requirements

  • Valid UAE driving licence with a clean driving record
  • Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience in the UAE
  • Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi and UAE road networks
  • Good communication skills and professional conduct
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible hours when required
  • Basic English language skills (spoken); additional languages an advantage
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and safety procedures
