Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Supervisor to oversee our transportation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of drivers, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of drivers, providing training, support, and performance evaluations.​

  • Route Planning: Develop and optimize delivery routes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.​

  • Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities comply with local and international regulations, including safety standards and licensing requirements.​

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and servicing of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe operating condition.​

  • Budget Management: Monitor transportation budgets, control costs, and implement cost-saving measures.​

  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any transportation-related issues, including delays, accidents, or customer complaints

  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including logs, maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation.​

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.​

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.​

  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.​

    • In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.​

    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.​

    • Proficiency in transportation management systems and basic computer applications.​

    • Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.​

  • Personal Attributes:

    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and safety.​

    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.​

    • Proactive and solution-focused approach to challenges.​
