Mystic Mist – House of Rituals is opening its doors in the heart of Downtown Dubai, and we’re building our founding team from the ground up. Set against the iconic backdrop of the Burj Khalifa, Mystic Mist is more than a lounge — it’s a destination designed around ritual, hospitality, and unforgettable moments.
We’re currently hiring for six key roles: Supervisor, Waiter/Waitress, Runner, Shisha Specialist, Hostess, and Barista. Duties & Responsibilities
Supervisor
- Oversee daily floor operations and ensure smooth service flow across all sections
- Lead, coach, and motivate front-of-house staff during each shift
- Monitor service standards and guest satisfaction, resolving issues promptly
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and shisha teams to maintain timing and quality
- Support scheduling, opening/closing procedures, and stock checks
Waiter/Waitress
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the menu with confidence
- Take accurate food, beverage, and shisha orders and relay them efficiently
- Deliver attentive, timely table service throughout the guest journey
- Upsell menu items and specials in a natural, guest-focused manner
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards at all times
Runner
- Deliver food and beverage orders promptly and accurately from kitchen/bar to table
- Support waitstaff during peak periods to keep service moving smoothly
- Check each order for accuracy and presentation before delivery
- Assist with clearing, resetting, and preparing tables between guests
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and service teams to avoid delays
Shisha Specialist
- Prepare, set up, and serve shisha to guests following brand rituals and standards
- Recommend flavors and blends based on guest preferences
- Maintain shisha equipment, coals, and hygiene standards throughout service
- Monitor and refresh shisha sessions proactively without being asked
- Ensure all safety and quality protocols are consistently followed
Hostess
- Welcome guests at the entrance and manage reservations and seating flow
- Create a strong first impression through warmth, presentation, and professionalism
- Coordinate with the floor team to optimize table turnover and guest comfort
- Handle guest inquiries, waitlists, and special requests gracefully
- Maintain an organized, up-to-date reservation and guest log
Barista
- Prepare specialty coffee and beverages to Mystic Mist’s quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee/bar station
- Engage guests with product knowledge and personalized recommendations
- Manage stock levels and report supply needs in a timely manner
- Ensure consistency and presentation across every drink served
Requirements
Supervisor
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory F&B or hospitality role
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in premium lounges, restaurants, or shisha venues preferred
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
Waiter/Waitress
- Previous experience in fine dining, lounge, or hospitality service preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-groomed, guest-focused, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Basic English proficiency required
Runner
- Prior experience in a restaurant, lounge, or hospitality environment is an advantage
- Physically fit and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts
Shisha Specialist
- Proven experience as a Shisha Specialist or similar role in a premium venue
- In-depth knowledge of shisha flavors, blends, and preparation techniques
- Strong attention to hygiene, safety, and presentation standards
- Excellent guest interaction and recommendation skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak hours
Hostess
- Previous experience as a Hostess in an upscale restaurant or lounge preferred
- Polished, professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and reservation system familiarity
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages a plus
- Ability to remain composed and welcoming during busy periods
Barista
- Previous barista experience in a specialty coffee or hospitality setting
- Solid knowledge of espresso-based beverages and latte art a plus
- Attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency
- Ability to work efficiently during high-volume periods
- Flexible availability, including weekends
