Senior Pastry ChefPosition Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team in creating innovative and high-quality desserts that align with our Mediterranean-inspired menu. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry arts, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in every aspect of pastry production.

🥐 Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design seasonal dessert menus that reflect the essence of Mediterranean cuisine.​

  • Quality Control: Ensure all pastry items meet the highest standards of taste, presentation, and consistency.​

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor pastry staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient kitchen environment.​

  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain inventory within budget.

  • Sanitation & Safety: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.​

  • Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques and presentations into dessert offerings.​

🎓 Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Pastry Chef in high-end standalone or upscale dining restaurants.​

  • Education: Formal culinary training or certification in pastry arts.

  • Skills: Exceptional knowledge of pastry techniques, flavor profiles, and plating aesthetics.​

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with strong organizational and communication skills.​

  • Creativity: A passion for innovation and a keen eye for detail in dessert presentation.​
