Junior Sous Chef – Bakery, Fine Dining Restaurant, Dubai

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef – Bakery to join the bakery division of one of Dubai’s most prestigious fine dining restaurants. In this role, you will support the Sous Chef and Head Baker in daily production, ensuring consistency, creativity, and excellence across all baked items.

This position is ideal for a bakery professional with strong technical skills, a passion for artisanal baking, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑standard kitchen environment. You will contribute to menu execution, assist in training junior staff, and help maintain the smooth operation of the bakery section.

📝 Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the Sous Chef and Head Baker in managing daily bakery operations
• Prepare and oversee production of breads, pastries, doughs, and specialty baked items
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
• Assist with recipe development, seasonal items, and menu enhancements
• Supervise and guide Commis and CDP bakers during production
• Maintain accurate mise en place and ensure timely preparation for service
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
• Uphold HACCP, hygiene, and safety standards at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery section
• Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service flow

✅ Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Senior CDP or Junior Sous Chef in a bakery section within a fine dining restaurant in the UAE
• Strong technical knowledge of doughs, pastries, lamination, and baking techniques
• Ability to lead small teams and manage production schedules
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Culinary or bakery certification preferred
• Creativity, discipline, and passion for artisanal baking
