Duties, Responsibilities & Requirements by Position
Commis I
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients following recipes and hotel standards
- Assist section chefs with daily mise en place and cooking tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the section in line with HACCP standards
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Demi Chef de Partie
- Support other kitchen sections during peak service as required
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen experience in a hotel or restaurant environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Culinary diploma or equivalent training preferred
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods
- Team player with a strong willingness to learn
Commis III
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Learn kitchen procedures, recipes, and plating standards
- Keep the workstation clean and organized at all times
- Follow instructions from senior chefs accurately and efficiently
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries correctly
Requirements
- Entry-level candidates or those early in their culinary career are welcome
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety
- Enthusiasm to learn and progress within the culinary team
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Demi Chef de Partie
Duties & Responsibilities
- Run an assigned kitchen section, ensuring dishes meet quality and presentation standards
- Supervise and guide Commis chefs within the section
- Manage section-level stock, ordering, and wastage control
- Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Coordinate with other sections to ensure smooth, timely service
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a hotel kitchen
- Strong knowledge of a specific cuisine or section (hot kitchen, cold kitchen, pastry, etc.)
- Culinary certification or equivalent hands-on experience
- Ability to lead a small team during service
- Good understanding of costing, portion control, and inventory practices
Waitress
Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide attentive, friendly table service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar
- Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of the dining area
- Upsell menu items and share knowledge of daily specials
- Handle guest requests and resolve minor concerns promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel F&B outlet preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages a plus)
- Well-groomed, professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

Hostess
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival
- Manage table reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently
- Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth guest flow
- Provide guests with menu information and answer general queries
- Maintain the entrance and reception area in a neat, presentable condition
Requirements
- Previous experience as a hostess or in a guest-facing hospitality role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident, polished, and welcoming personality
- Strong organizational skills, especially during high-traffic periods
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
Engineering Supervisor
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance operations across hotel facilities and equipment
- Supervise and schedule the engineering/technician team
- Ensure preventive maintenance programs are carried out on time
- Monitor compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations
- Coordinate with external contractors and manage repair follow-ups
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of hotel engineering experience, with supervisory exposure
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building management systems
- Good leadership and team coordination skills
- Familiarity with UAE health and safety codes preferred
General Technician
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across guest rooms and public areas
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and breakdowns
- Perform preventive maintenance checks on equipment and systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work completed
- Ensure safety procedures are followed during all repair work
Requirements
- Technical diploma or trade certification in electrical, mechanical, or plumbing fields
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience, hotel experience preferred
- Working knowledge of basic HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to urgent issues
- Willingness to work on a rotational shift basis
Spa Therapist
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver a range of spa treatments and massages to a professional, consistent standard
- Advise guests on suitable treatments based on their needs and preferences
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and preparation of treatment rooms
- Promote spa products and services to support revenue targets
- Keep accurate records of treatments and guest preferences
Requirements
- Certified qualification in massage therapy or spa treatments
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a spa or wellness environment, hotel spa preferred
- Sound knowledge of body treatments, facials, and massage techniques
- Excellent guest service skills and a calm, professional manner
- Physical stamina to perform treatments throughout the day
