As a Commis Chef, you will play a key role in supporting daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining the standards that define McGettigan’s globally recognized hospitality experience. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to grow their culinary skills, work alongside experienced chefs, and contribute to a fast-paced, energetic kitchen environment. You will be involved in mise en place, cooking, plating, and maintaining hygiene standards while learning advanced techniques and contributing to the smooth flow of service. Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in daily food preparation, cooking, and basic production tasks.
• Follow recipes, portioning guidelines, and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations at all times.
• Support senior chefs during service to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.

Requirements

• Previous experience as Commis Chef 1 or 2 in a high-volume kitchen preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills.
