The Waiter/Waitress is the face of the dining experience, welcoming guests, presenting menus and delivering attentive, graceful service. In pre-opening you will take part in training, learn the menus and practise the service style of a luxury resort. This role suits a friendly, well-presented hospitality professional who enjoys connecting with people and wants to be part of an opening team in Abu Dhabi. Joining the pre-opening food and beverage team at The Mangroves Abu Dhabi, LXR Hotels & Resorts, the Waiter/Waitress will help shape the dining experience from the very first guest. The hotel is hosting an invitation-only Recruitment Day, and shortlisted candidates will be contacted with an invitation to attend. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests and present menus with confident product knowledge.
  • Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages to the hotel’s standards.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly to requests and special dietary needs.
  • Set up, maintain and clear tables, and keep the outlet clean and organised.
  • Work with kitchen, bar and colleagues to make sure service runs smoothly.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a waiter or waitress in a hotel or restaurant is preferred.
  • Good English communication skills; Arabic or other languages are an advantage.
  • Well-groomed, courteous and guest-focused.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in a team.
  • Flexible with shifts, weekends and public holidays.
