Sous Chef – Villa Mamas by Chef Roaya Saaleh (Saudi Arabia)

Villa Mamas by Chef Roaya Saaleh is seeking a talented, motivated, and detail‑oriented Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for a chef who is passionate about heritage‑inspired cuisine, thrives in a dynamic kitchen environment, and is ready to take on a leadership position. As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and creativity in every dish. You will help train and guide the kitchen team, maintain high standards of food safety, and contribute to the warm, home‑inspired dining experience that defines Villa Mamas. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff during preparation and service
  • Ensure all dishes meet Villa Mamas’ quality, presentation, and flavor standards
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating with precision
  • Maintain inventory, monitor stock levels, and assist with ordering
  • Uphold hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations at all times
  • Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen team members
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials
  • Ensure smooth communication between kitchen and front‑of‑house teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for high‑quality, heritage‑inspired cuisine
  • Leadership abilities and experience managing a kitchen team
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Culinary certification or formal training is an advantage
