Kapitol Dubai is recruiting energetic, reliable Runners to join our pre‑opening front‑of‑house team. As we prepare to launch Dubai’s newest social gaming and lifestyle destination, Runners play a vital role in ensuring fast, seamless service across dining and entertainment areas. This pre‑opening position with Sunset Hospitality offers hands‑on experience, close collaboration with servers and kitchen staff, and a clear pathway for growth within Kapitol and the wider Sunset Hospitality group.

Role Overview

Runners are the backbone of efficient service: delivering food and beverages, supporting servers during peak periods, and helping maintain the flow between kitchen, bar, and dining areas. In the pre‑opening phase you will help establish service routines, support trial shifts and soft openings, and contribute to the high standards Kapitol expects from day one.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver orders from kitchen and bar to dining and gaming areas quickly and accurately.
• Assist servers with clearing plates, resetting tables, and preparing covers for the next guests.
• Support kitchen and bar teams by returning used dishes, collecting serviceware, and communicating any order issues.
• Maintain service stations stocked with condiments, napkins, cutlery, and glassware.
• Ensure timely communication between front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house to manage course timing and special requests.
• Help with event setups and breakdowns, ensuring service routes are clear and stations are ready.
• Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene protocols, including safe handling of hot plates and beverages.
• Report maintenance or guest issues to supervisors promptly and assist with minor guest requests.
• Participate in pre‑opening training and follow established SOPs to ensure consistent service delivery.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a runner, food runner, or service assistant role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to move quickly across the venue for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to follow instructions and coordinate with multiple teams.
• Attention to detail to ensure orders are delivered correctly and tables are reset to standard.
• Calm under pressure and able to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Professional presentation and punctuality.
• Valid UAE work authorization or clear visa status; include visa details in your application.
• Positive attitude and reliability—pre‑opening roles require adaptability and a proactive approach.
