Majestic Hotel Group is seeking a detail‑oriented, organized, and reliable Receiving Clerk to support the smooth flow of goods into the hotel. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, understands basic inventory processes, and can ensure that all deliveries meet quality, quantity, and documentation standards. As a Receiving Clerk, you will inspect incoming goods, verify purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, and work closely with the Stores and Finance teams. Your accuracy and vigilance will directly support cost control, kitchen operations, and overall hotel efficiency.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving Operations — Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Quality & Quantity Checks — Ensure items meet hotel standards for freshness, quality, and correct specifications.
  • Documentation — Record deliveries accurately, update receiving logs, and ensure proper signatures and approvals.
  • Coordination with Departments — Communicate with Purchasing, Stores, Kitchen, and Finance regarding discrepancies or urgent items.
  • Storage Support — Assist in transferring goods to the appropriate storage areas following FIFO and hygiene standards.
  • Discrepancy Handling — Report shortages, damages, or incorrect items to the Purchasing team immediately.
  • Compliance — Follow food safety, hygiene, and hotel receiving procedures at all times.
  • Inventory Assistance — Support monthly stock counts and help maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Vendor Interaction — Ensure delivery personnel follow hotel protocols and maintain professionalism at the receiving bay.
  • Safety & Cleanliness — Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Requirements

  • Experience — Minimum 1–3 years in receiving, stores, or purchasing roles; hospitality or F&B experience is an advantage.
  • Education — High school diploma or equivalent; training in inventory or supply chain is a plus.
  • Skills — Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and good communication.
  • Technical Knowledge — Familiarity with inventory systems, receiving procedures, and basic MS Office.
  • Physical Ability — Able to lift boxes, operate trolleys, and stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Attributes — Honest, reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Language — Basic English communication; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Availability — Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Work Authorization — Legal right to work in the UAE or the country where the role is based.
