Sharjah National Hotels is looking for attentive and friendly Pool Attendants to join our resort and city properties. This role is ideal for service-minded individuals who ensure guest safety, maintain immaculate poolside areas, and deliver warm, timely assistance to guests enjoying our leisure facilities. Pool Attendants play a key part in guest satisfaction by combining vigilance, hospitality, and practical upkeep to create a relaxing and safe pool experience for families, couples, and leisure guests.


Salary Range

AED 2,000 – AED 3,500 per month depending on experience, certifications, and seasonal demand.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pool Area Maintenance — Keep pool decks, loungers, umbrellas, and surrounding areas clean, tidy, and well presented at all times.
  • Guest Safety Monitoring — Observe pool activity, enforce pool rules, and report unsafe behavior or hazards to supervisors.
  • Guest Service — Greet guests, provide towels and pool amenities, assist with seating, and respond promptly to guest requests.
  • Water Quality Checks — Perform routine checks of water clarity and chemical indicators and report abnormalities to engineering.
  • Equipment Setup and Care — Arrange and maintain poolside furniture, floats, and safety equipment; report damaged items for repair.
  • First Aid and Emergency Response — Provide basic first aid and assist lifeguards or emergency services when required.
  • Coordination — Liaise with housekeeping, engineering, and F&B for timely towel replenishment, guest orders, and maintenance needs.
  • Record Keeping — Log incidents, maintenance requests, and daily checklists as required by management.

Requirements

  • Education — High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience — Prior pool, beach, or hospitality experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Certifications — Basic First Aid required; lifeguard certification preferred.
  • Skills — Strong guest service orientation, good observational skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Physical — Able to work outdoors in warm conditions, stand for long periods, and perform light lifting.
  • Language — Basic English required; Arabic or other languages advantageous.
  • Availability — Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
