Majestic Hotel Group is hiring a friendly, professional Hostess / Order Taker to be the welcoming face and first point of contact for guests across our dining outlets. This role blends warm guest interaction with efficient order management: you’ll greet and seat guests, manage reservations and waitlists, take accurate orders when required, and ensure smooth communication between front‑of‑house and kitchen teams. The ideal candidate is composed under pressure, has excellent verbal skills, and takes pride in creating positive first impressions that reflect Majestic’s standards of elegance and hospitality. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Guest Reception — Welcome guests with a warm, professional greeting; manage seating and table allocation to optimize flow.
  • Reservation Management — Handle phone and online reservations, maintain the reservation book or system, and manage waitlists during peak periods.
  • Order Taking — Accurately take food and beverage orders when required; confirm special requests, allergies, and dietary needs.
  • Communication — Relay orders and guest notes clearly to kitchen and bar teams; update servers and supervisors on table status.
  • Queue and Flow Control — Monitor covers, table turns, and waiting times; coordinate with service staff to minimize guest wait.
  • Guest Assistance — Provide menu guidance, recommend specials, and answer questions about ingredients, preparation, and timings.
  • Problem Resolution — Address minor guest concerns courteously and escalate issues to the F&B Captain or Manager when necessary.
  • Standards and Hygiene — Maintain a tidy host station and front‑of‑house area; follow food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Administrative Tasks — Prepare daily seating plans, print or update reservation reports, and assist with basic cash handling or POS tasks if required.
  • Event Support — Assist with guest arrivals and seating for private events, banquets, and promotions.

Requirements

  • Experience — 0–2 years in a hospitality, restaurant, or customer‑facing role preferred; prior hostess, front desk, or order‑taking experience is an advantage.
  • Education — High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or customer service training is a plus.
  • Skills — Excellent verbal communication and active listening; polite, confident phone manner; basic numeracy for order totals.
  • Technical — Comfortable using reservation systems and POS terminals; quick to learn new software.
  • Personal Attributes — Friendly, composed, and presentable; strong attention to detail and a service‑oriented mindset.
  • Language — Fluent English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Availability — Flexible to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Work Authorization — Legal right to work in the UAE or the country where the role is based.
