Head Waiter

We are seeking an experienced, service‑driven Head Waiter to lead our front‑of‑house team at Miray Group’s restaurant in Dubai. This senior role combines hands‑on service with supervisory responsibilities: you will set and maintain high service standards, mentor and schedule staff, and ensure every guest receives a polished, memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, excellent communication, and a calm, professional presence during high‑volume service. Previous experience in fine dining or high‑volume restaurants and a proven ability to train and motivate teams are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead service operations during shifts, ensuring consistent delivery of service standards.
• Supervise and mentor waitstaff, runners, and junior team members; conduct on‑the‑job training.
• Manage section assignments and floor rotations to optimize guest flow and staff efficiency.
• Handle guest escalations professionally and resolve service issues to maintain guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate with kitchen and management on timing, special requests, and event requirements.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, side work, and quality checks for service stations.
• Monitor inventory and supplies for the floor; report shortages and assist with stock control.
• Support F&B Supervisor and management with scheduling, performance feedback, and shift reports.

Requirements

• Proven supervisory experience in fine dining or high‑volume restaurant environments.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach and motivate staff.
• Excellent guest service orientation and polished professional presentation.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Basic administrative skills for scheduling, reporting, and inventory checks.
• Multilingual ability is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications (food safety, hospitality training) are a plus.
