Engineering Supervisor – Western Hotel Ghayathi

Western Hotel Ghayathi is seeking an experienced and proactive Engineering Supervisor to lead and support the daily operations of the Engineering Department. This role is essential in ensuring the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with brand standards. As an Engineering Supervisor, you will oversee maintenance activities, coordinate with technicians, and ensure all preventive and corrective tasks are completed on time.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with solid technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage a diverse team. You will work closely with the Chief Engineer to plan maintenance schedules, monitor equipment performance, and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures. This position requires hands‑on expertise, strong problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to remain calm under pressure. Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise daily engineering operations and assign tasks to technicians
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Ensure proper functioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry equipment
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and inventory records
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and operational standards
• Respond promptly to guest complaints and maintenance requests
• Support the Chief Engineer in planning and implementing maintenance programs
• Train and guide engineering team members as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience as Engineering Supervisor or Senior Technician in a hotel environment
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot effectively
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Understanding of safety procedures and preventive maintenance practices
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Technical diploma or certification in Engineering is an advantage
