Runner — HookahPlace, Dubai Creek Harbour, Dubai, UAE
HookahPlace MENA is hiring Runners for its new lounge opening at Dubai Creek Harbour this autumn. The runner is the link between the kitchen, the bar and the floor, and in a high-volume venue that link decides whether service feels effortless or chaotic. You will deliver food and drinks to the right tables promptly, check presentation and accuracy at the pass, clear and reset tables between guests, and keep service stations fully stocked throughout the shift. It is a physically active role that suits someone fast, attentive and genuinely willing to help the team wherever the pressure is heaviest. In return, it is one of the best entry points into a growing international hospitality brand, with a clear path toward waiter and senior front-of-house positions. Previous runner or busser experience in a busy restaurant or lounge is required, along with basic conversational English and current residence in Dubai.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to the correct tables promptly.
- Check plate presentation, temperature and order accuracy before leaving the pass.
- Clear, reset and polish tables between guests to keep turnover smooth.
- Restock service stations with cutlery, glassware, napkins and condiments.
- Support waiters and kitchen staff during peak service and communicate delays quickly.
- Assist with opening setup, closing cleaning and general venue tidiness.
Requirements
- Previous food runner or busser experience in a busy restaurant, lounge or hotel.
- Basic conversational English and good listening skills.
- Physically fit and able to carry trays and stand for long periods.
- Fast, attentive and comfortable working under pressure.
- Able to work long shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Currently based in Dubai; candidates with their own valid UAE visa will be given preference.
