Majestic Hotel Group is seeking a motivated, skilled, and detail‑oriented Demi Chef de Partie to support our Culinary team. This role is ideal for a passionate cook who is ready to take the next step in their career by managing part of a section, assisting the Chef de Partie, and ensuring consistent food quality. As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will handle mise‑en‑place, cooking, plating, and hygiene responsibilities while contributing to a smooth kitchen operation. You will play a key role in delivering Majestic’s high culinary standards through teamwork, discipline, and creativity.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation — Prepare ingredients, cook dishes, and assist in plating according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Section Support — Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the assigned section (hot, cold, grill, pastry, etc.).
  • Mise‑en‑Place — Ensure your station is fully stocked, organized, and ready before service.
  • Quality Control — Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all dishes.
  • Hygiene & Safety — Follow HACCP guidelines, maintain cleanliness, and ensure proper food storage and labeling.
  • Team Collaboration — Support Commis Chefs, coordinate with other sections, and assist during busy periods.
  • Inventory Assistance — Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and help with daily requisitions.
  • Equipment Handling — Use kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunctions.
  • Menu Support — Contribute ideas for specials and new dishes when requested by senior chefs.
  • Communication — Maintain clear communication with the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef for smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Experience — Minimum 1–3 years in a professional kitchen; strong Commis I experience is acceptable.
  • Education — Culinary diploma or equivalent training.
  • Skills — Solid cooking techniques, good knife skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge — Understanding of HACCP, food safety, and kitchen operations.
  • Personal Attributes — Hardworking, disciplined, eager to learn, and calm under pressure.
  • Physical Ability — Able to stand for long periods and work in a fast‑paced, high‑heat environment.
  • Language — Basic English communication; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Availability — Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Work Authorization — Legal right to work in the UAE or the country where the role is based.
