Commis Chef – Orange Holding | Dubai

Orange Holding is welcoming applications for a Commis Chef to join its Dubai kitchen team. This is an ideal role for a motivated cook who wants to build a career in professional kitchens. You will support the chefs de partie and demi chefs with daily preparation, basic cooking and station set-up, learning proper technique, hygiene and speed in a busy, high-standard environment. You will keep your area clean, follow recipes carefully and work as part of a close-knit team. Whether you are early in your culinary career or have some kitchen experience and want to grow, this position offers hands-on training and a path to progress with an expanding hospitality group.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and mise en place for daily service
  • Assist chefs de partie with cooking and plating
  • Keep your station, equipment and storage areas clean and organised
  • Follow recipes, portion sizes and food safety procedures
  • Receive and store deliveries correctly and reduce waste

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen experience as a Commis or cook is preferred; enthusiastic beginners with culinary training may apply
  • Basic knowledge of cooking methods and knife skills
  • Awareness of food hygiene and safety rules
  • Willingness to learn, take direction and work in a team
  • Ability to work shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Good physical stamina for a busy kitchen
