AC Technician – Western Hotel Ghayathi

Western Hotel Ghayathi is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable AC Technician to join our Engineering team. This role is essential in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests by maintaining, repairing, and optimizing all air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems within the property. As an AC Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all HVAC equipment operates efficiently and safely.

The ideal candidate is technically skilled, detail‑oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. You will handle a variety of systems including split units, package units, chillers, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment used in kitchens and storage areas. This position requires strong troubleshooting abilities, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high service standards. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all HVAC systems
  • Diagnose and repair AC units, chillers, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment
  • Inspect and clean filters, coils, motors, and ducts
  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal cooling efficiency
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest complaints
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and spare parts usage
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Assist the Engineering team with general maintenance tasks when required
  • Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs when necessary

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an AC Technician in a hotel or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, and electrical components
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and troubleshoot effectively
  • Understanding of safety procedures and preventive maintenance practices
  • Physically fit and able to handle equipment and tools
  • Positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and strong work ethic
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Technical certification or diploma in HVAC or Refrigeration is an advantage
