Zapata Je Mexican Restaurant is seeking skilled and passionate Baristas to join our pre-opening team ahead of our grand launch at J1 Beach, Dubai in July 2025. If you have a deep appreciation for specialty coffee, an understanding of Mexican-inspired beverages, and thrive in delivering exceptional service, this is your opportunity to be part of a vibrant, beachside dining concept that blends tradition with modern flair.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in pre-opening setup, including coffee station organization and equipment calibration.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffees, teas, and specialty Mexican-inspired beverages.
  • Showcase expertise in espresso-based drinks, latte art, and handcrafted coffee creations.
  • Curate and suggest pairings between coffee selections and traditional Mexican desserts.
  • Maintain consistency in brewing techniques and beverage quality.
  • Engage with guests, providing recommendations and an educational coffee experience.
  • Ensure cleanliness, stock inventory, and uphold hygiene standards in bar operations.
  • Support special events, promotions, and themed beverage activations.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and bar team to enhance the overall dining experience.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Barista in a specialty coffee or high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Familiarity with pre-opening procedures and setting up a new coffee station is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of brewing methods, espresso techniques, and latte art.
  • Passion for Mexican flavors and beverage culture—experience with Mexican coffee traditions is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills with an engaging and welcoming personality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic hospitality environment.
