Job Description:

As a Waiter/Waitress at KAYA, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our guests. You will be the face of the restaurant, ensuring that each guest enjoys a memorable dining experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service Excellence:
  Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued.
  Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly, offering recommendations when necessary.
  Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring presentation and quality standards are met.
  Respond to guest inquiries and special requests with professionalism and a positive attitude.
  Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
• Team Collaboration:
  Work closely with other waitstaff, kitchen, and bar teams to ensure efficient and seamless service.
  Assist with clearing and resetting tables between guests to maintain a clean dining environment.
  Support other team members during peak hours to ensure smooth service flow.
• Maintenance of Cleanliness & Organization:
  Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas, and dining spaces.
  Ensure that all service items (such as plates, glassware, and cutlery) are clean and ready for use.
  Ensure that all areas of the restaurant are organized, tidy, and stocked for smooth service operations.
• Upselling & Promoting Specials:
  Promote and upsell menu items, specials, and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase revenue.
  Stay knowledgeable about the menu, daily specials, and drink options to effectively suggest pairings and options to guests.

Job Requirements:

• Experience:
  Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a restaurant or similar hospitality role is preferred, but not mandatory.
  A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential.
• Skills and Qualities:
  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests and team members.
  Strong customer service skills, with a focus on ensuring a positive guest experience.
  Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  Basic knowledge of food and beverage items, including menu items and drink pairings (training provided).
  Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physical Requirements:
  Ability to stand for long periods of time and carry heavy trays of food and beverages.
  Ability to bend, reach, and lift items as required to perform duties.
