Meals On Me is seeking a hands-on Sous Chef to support kitchen leadership, maintain high culinary standards, and drive consistent execution across service. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and service execution.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure consistency in recipes, portioning, and plating.
- Lead and train line cooks and kitchen staff; maintain clear communication during service.
- Manage mise en place and prep schedules to meet service demands and reduce waste.
- Monitor food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Assist with inventory control: stock rotation, basic ordering, and supplier coordination.
- Step in during service to maintain pace, quality, and timely ticket completion.
- Contribute to menu development and cost-control initiatives as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or senior cook role.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen workflows, portion control, and food safety practices.
- Ability to lead a team, train staff, and perform under pressure.
- Familiarity with inventory management and basic food costing.
- Valid UAE work authorization and flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Professional attitude, punctuality, and commitment to consistent quality.
