This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside seasoned chefs and contribute to delivering exceptional pastry experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pastry Production: Prepare and execute a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, including cakes, chocolates, and confections, following established recipes and presentation standards.

  • Executive Pastry Chef and culinary team to develop new pastry menu items, seasonal specialties, and creative dessert offerings that showcase innovation and artistic presentation.

  • Ingredient Management: Assist in managing inventory and procurement of pastry ingredients, ensuring the use of high-quality products and minimizing waste.

  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in pastry production, including taste, texture, appearance, and portion size, conducting regular tastings and evaluations.

  • Decorating and Finishing: Utilize various pastry decorating techniques, such as piping, molding, glazing, and garnishing, to enhance the visual appeal of pastry and dessert items.

  • Sanitation and Hygiene: Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation standards in the pastry production area, including proper handling of ingredients and cleanliness of equipment and work surfaces.

  • Team Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to junior pastry staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment within the pastry department.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a pastry role within a high-end dining environment, demonstrating a strong passion for pastry arts.

  • Education: A diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred.

  • Skills: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional European language is a plus. Exceptional pastry skills, creativity, and attention to detail are essential.
