We are currently hiring for the following Back of House positions:
Available Positions:
1. Chef de Partie – Steam Section
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of food in the steam section.
- Ensure dishes are prepared to China Tang’s high standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage and train junior kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a similar kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
2. Demi CDP – Steam Section
- Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie in the preparation and cooking of food in the steam section.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization in the section.
- Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards.
- Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Passion for food preparation and presentation.
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
3. Chef de Partie – Cold Section
- Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute cold dishes to the highest standards.
- Manage the cold section of the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and order.
- Assist in menu planning and creating new cold dish offerings.
- Requirements:
- Experience as a Chef de Partie in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
- Excellent skills in cold food preparation and presentation.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
4. Demi CDP – Cold Section
- Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and plating of cold dishes.
- Ensure that all cold dishes are presented according to China Tang’s standards.
- Maintain the cold section, ensuring high cleanliness and organization.
- Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen role is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for high-quality food preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team.
5. Senior Commis – Cold Section
- Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing cold dishes.
- Ensure food quality and presentation are consistent with restaurant standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the cold section.
- Requirements:
- Prior experience as a commis in the cold section of a kitchen.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards.
- Passion for culinary arts and food presentation.
6. Senior CDP – Chopper
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the preparation of ingredients for the chopper section.
- Ensure all ingredients are prepared according to the restaurant’s standards.
- Supervise junior staff and ensure efficiency and cleanliness in the section.
- Requirements:
- Experience in chopper or similar kitchen section.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
7. Chef de Partie – Chopper
- Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage the chopper section.
- Ensure all preparations are done to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role in a fine dining environment.
- Exceptional knife skills and ability to manage high-volume operations.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
8. Senior Commis – Pass
- Responsibilities:
- Assist in the pass section, ensuring all dishes are ready for service.
- Work closely with the team to ensure the timely delivery of dishes.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the pass section.
- Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to stay organized under pressure.
9. Senior Sous Chef – Wok
- Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage wok station operations.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
- Train and develop kitchen staff.
- Requirements:
- Extensive experience in a wok station or similar role.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of wok cooking techniques.
10. Sous Chef – Wok
- Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the wok section and ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor food quality and presentation.
- Supervise and support junior kitchen staff.
- Requirements:
- Previous experience as a sous chef in a wok-focused kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of wok cooking techniques and ingredient preparation.
- Leadership and team management skills.
11. Chef de Partie – Wok
- Responsibilities:
- Manage the wok section, ensuring all dishes are prepared to China Tang’s high standards.
- Oversee the daily operations of the section, including food preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the wok station.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in wok cooking.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Strong attention to detail and culinary skills.
12. Demi CDP – Wok
- Responsibilities:
- Assist in the wok section with food preparation and service.
- Ensure that all dishes meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in the wok area.
- Requirements:

13. Head Chef – Dim Sum
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the dim sum section of the kitchen.
- Ensure that all dim sum dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste and presentation.
- Lead, train, and supervise the dim sum team.
- Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a head chef specializing in dim sum.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Deep knowledge of dim sum cooking techniques.
14. Sous Chef – Dim Sum
- Responsibilities:
- Assist the head chef in managing the dim sum section.
- Ensure high food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
- Supervise junior kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as a sous chef in a dim sum kitchen.

- Ensure all dishes are prepared and served on time.
- Requirements:
- Experience in BBQ Peking Duck preparation is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage high-volume service in a fast-paced kitchen.
17. Demi CDP – BBQ Peking Duck
- Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of BBQ Peking Duck.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the BBQ section.
- Ensure high food quality and presentation.
- Requirements:
- Experience in BBQ Peking Duck preparation or Chinese BBQ is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
18. Senior CDP – BBQ
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage BBQ operations, ensuring quality control.
- Supervise the BBQ team and ensure timely delivery of orders.

- Proven experience in BBQ or grilling in a high-end environment.

19. Stewarding Supervisor
- Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage stewarding staff.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and areas.
- Assist with inventory management and ensure the proper handling of all kitchen tools.
- Requirements:
- Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen support roles.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
