Plumber

Royal Rose Abu Dhabi, proudly part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to join our engineering and maintenance team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing the hotel’s plumbing systems across guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and back-of-house facilities to ensure uninterrupted operations and an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical expertise, a methodical approach to troubleshooting, and a commitment to safety and cleanliness while working in a luxury hospitality environment. You will respond to routine maintenance requests and emergency call-outs, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate closely with other engineering colleagues to minimize guest disruption and uphold the hotel’s high standards of presentation and service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Repairs: Diagnose, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, pipes, valves, drains, and fittings in guest rooms, public areas, and service zones.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies such as leaks, blockages, and water supply failures, providing effective temporary and permanent solutions.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections, preventive checks, and routine servicing of water heaters, pumps, sewage systems, and backflow prevention devices.
• Installation Work: Install new plumbing fixtures, appliances, and piping systems according to specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
• Testing and Commissioning: Pressure-test systems, check for leaks, and ensure compliance with performance and safety standards after repairs or installations.
• Coordination and Communication: Liaise with housekeeping, front office, and other engineering trades to schedule works with minimal guest impact and provide clear status updates.
• Record Keeping: Complete job sheets, maintenance logs, and parts requisitions; report recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.
• Health Safety and Cleanliness: Follow safe work practices, use personal protective equipment, ensure proper containment and cleanup, and maintain a professional, guest-conscious presence.

Requirements

• Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in plumbing or a related trade preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional plumbing experience, ideally within hotels, commercial properties, or large residential complexes.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in pipework, drainage systems, water supply systems, soldering, brazing, and use of plumbing tools and diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of pumps, valves, water heaters, and backflow prevention is required.
• Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues quickly and implement durable repairs.
• Physical Requirements: Able to lift moderate loads, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
• Personal Attributes: Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and guest-focused with a professional appearance and courteous manner.
• Availability: Flexibility to work shifts, nights, weekends, and public holidays; willingness to respond to on-call emergencies.
• Legal: Right to work in the UAE and any required local trade licenses or permits.
