Majestic Hotel Group is seeking a skilled, reliable, and hands‑on Kitchen Technician to support the smooth operation of all kitchen equipment across the property. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who understands commercial kitchen systems and can respond quickly to breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all equipment is safe, efficient, and guest‑ready. As a Kitchen Technician, you will work closely with the Engineering and Culinary teams to maintain ovens, chillers, freezers, dishwashers, exhaust systems, and other essential kitchen machinery. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance — Perform routine maintenance on kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, fryers, grills, dishwashers, steamers, mixers, and refrigeration units.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs — Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, mechanical, and gas‑operated kitchen equipment.
  • Refrigeration Support — Inspect and maintain chillers, freezers, cold rooms, and temperature‑controlled units.
  • Preventive Maintenance — Carry out scheduled PM tasks to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Safety & Compliance — Ensure all kitchen equipment meets safety standards; follow lock‑out/tag‑out and fire‑safety procedures.
  • Coordination — Work closely with the Culinary team to understand operational needs and minimize downtime.
  • Ventilation Systems — Inspect and maintain kitchen hoods, exhaust fans, and grease filters.
  • Record Keeping — Update job cards, maintenance logs, and daily reports accurately.
  • Inventory & Tools — Maintain tools in good condition and assist with spare‑parts requisitions.
  • Emergency Response — Respond promptly to urgent breakdowns, leaks, electrical issues, or overheating equipment.

Requirements

  • Experience — Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Kitchen Technician or in commercial kitchen equipment maintenance, preferably in hotels or F&B operations.
  • Education — Technical diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, or a related field.
  • Skills — Strong troubleshooting ability, understanding of commercial kitchen systems, and good time management.
  • Technical Knowledge — Familiarity with gas systems, electrical panels, refrigeration cycles, and food‑service equipment.
  • Personal Attributes — Reliable, safety‑conscious, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Physical Ability — Able to lift, bend, climb, and work in hot or confined spaces when required.
  • Language — Basic English communication; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Availability — Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Work Authorization — Legal right to work in the UAE or the country where the role is based.
