General technician

Majestic Hotel Group is looking for a skilled, reliable, and hands‑on General Technician to support the daily maintenance and smooth operation of our hotel facilities. This role is ideal for a multi‑skilled technician who can perform basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry tasks while ensuring guest comfort and safety. As a General Technician, you will respond to maintenance requests, carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support the Engineering team in maintaining the property to Majestic’s high standards. Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repairs — Perform routine repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Troubleshooting — Diagnose and resolve basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
• Preventive Maintenance — Carry out scheduled PM tasks on equipment, fixtures, and systems.
• Guest Room Support — Respond to guest room maintenance calls promptly and professionally.
• Safety & Compliance — Follow all safety procedures, lock‑out/tag‑out rules, and hotel engineering standards.
• Equipment Care — Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; report any defects.
• Coordination — Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments to resolve issues quickly.
• Record Keeping — Update maintenance logs, job cards, and daily reports accurately.
• Project Assistance — Support minor renovation works, installations, and contractor supervision when required.
• Emergency Response — Assist during power failures, leaks, alarms, and other urgent situations.

Requirements

• Experience — Minimum 2–4 years in general maintenance, facility operations, or hotel engineering.
• Education — Technical diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or a related field.
• Skills — Strong troubleshooting ability, basic knowledge of multiple trades, and good time management.
• Technical Knowledge — Familiarity with hotel systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical panels, and basic carpentry.
• Personal Attributes — Reliable, safety‑conscious, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently.
• Physical Ability — Able to lift, climb, bend, and work in confined spaces when required.
• Language — Basic English communication; additional languages are an advantage.
• Availability — Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Work Authorization — Legal right to work in the UAE or the country where the role is based.
