The General Technician supports the smooth daily operation of VOGO Grand Hotel & KSK Homes Dubai by performing essential maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks. This role suits someone hands‑on, dependable, and skilled in multiple trades, with a strong commitment to safety and guest satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair work across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry areas
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and departments
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment, fixtures, and building systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas in good condition
  • Assist in installation, replacement, and repair of fixtures and appliances
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and hotel policies
  • Report major repair needs or hazards to the Engineering Supervisor

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a General Technician or similar role in hospitality or facilities management
  • Strong knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to diagnose and repair common maintenance issues
  • Good physical stamina and ability to work on feet for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Basic English communication skills
