Commis 1 — Meals On Me

 

Meals On Me is expanding its kitchen team and is looking for a dedicated Commis 1 to support daily food preparation, maintain high standards of hygiene, and assist senior chefs during service. This role is ideal for someone with solid foundational kitchen skills who wants to grow within a structured, supportive culinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist with mise en place for your assigned section.
  • Cook and plate dishes according to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
  • Support Chef de Partie and Sous Chef during prep and service.
  • Maintain cleanliness of your station, equipment, and storage areas following HACCP guidelines.
  • Handle stock rotation and report low items to supervisors.
  • Follow safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when required.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years experience as Commis 1 or strong experience as Commis 2 ready to step up.
  • Good understanding of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Valid UAE work authorization and flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
