Duties and Responsibilities
Hostess
- Greet guests warmly on arrival and escort them to their tables
- Manage reservations, walk-ins and the waiting list efficiently
- Keep the entrance and reception area clean, organised and welcoming
- Coordinate seating with the service team to balance the floor
- Handle guest enquiries and feedback politely, escalating issues to the manager
Waiter
- Welcome guests, present menus and explain dishes and recommendations
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and pass them to the kitchen
- Serve food and drinks promptly and to the café’s service standards
- Keep tables clean, set and ready throughout service
- Process payments correctly and ensure every guest leaves satisfied
Hot Kitchen Commis Chef
- Prepare ingredients and assist the senior chefs with hot kitchen dishes
- Cook and plate menu items following recipes and portion standards
- Maintain a clean, organised workstation at all times
- Follow food safety, hygiene and HACCP guidelines
- Check stock, store food correctly and report shortages to the supervisor
Requirements
Hostess
- Previous hostess or guest-facing experience in a restaurant or café
- Presentable appearance and a confident, friendly personality
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage)
- Ability to stay calm and professional during busy hours

Waiter
- Proven experience as a waiter in a restaurant or café
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
